I know deep in my heart that if Blockbuster was still around, I’d be a less anxious person today. We were a community in there!! My older sister worked at a Blockbuster through college and they were gone by the time I was getting a part time job as a student, so I’m eternally jealous.

Supporting your local video store

I can’t recommend it enough tbh. I went in there to return a few I had rented last week and got to spend 10 minutes lost in the shelves, just searching through films. There is such a great feeling of comfort I get by being surrounded by so many physical reproductions of the medium I love so mucchhh. It’s like my version of a museum.

Late 20s but still don’t know what i wanna do and it’s ok

My 20s has been spent on developing myself as a grown kid outta high school becoming a young independent adult, turning 20 doesn’t have to mean that a perfect life should be sorted out for you. It means that you have more independence and capacity to forge your own life, at your own pace, even if it will take until your 30s. After all, we’re all forms of ephemeral art

Sitting in nature by myself, taking in my surroundings through all my senses

Sometimes I just need a break from the hustle and bustle of life and to sit on the grass or bench in a quiet park. Listening to the leaves rustling in the breeze and the birds tweeting brings about a sense of calming throughout my body that feels so recharging for my soul.
