Caveh Zahedi's web-only (unless you were watching Brooklyn public access 8 years ago) Show About the Show is chaotic perfection (and a direct influence on the Black Mirror season 6 episode 'Joan Is Awful' if you saw that). I'll just let Joe Swanberg describe it: "Using a combination of direct address to the camera, staged recreations, documentary footage and interviews to tell the tale of each [previous] episode being made, Zahedi puts together a show that feels in control of its tone, yet out of control of the implications of its own existence." P.S. at some point Caveh starts getting sued by his wife about the show so the remaining episodes are only available on his website

Pete davidson has an 8 episode television show sincerely riffing on his own life. it seems like no ones seen it and im gonna guess they spent $50million to make it. I hate when those New Yorker writers make some galaxy brain take concluding that reality tv is actually visionary ethnography or some shit. 'bupkis' (could it be called anything worse?) is the most brain smoothing media ive consumed in years. the show opens with Pete watching VR porn in his basement and accidentally cumming on his mother (edie Falco). I recommend throwing ur beautiful mind in the crockpot and turning it on simmer. bupkis.

Hugely creative comedy talk show that aired on public access in New York. You might know Gethard from the Beautiful/Anonymous podcast these days or his HBO special, but back then he was an improviser who had improvisers doing bits on a late night talk show. I linked to a good starter episode - you'll know within 5 minutes if it's for you.
Featuring: a live band, live call-ins, random people added to the cast, a different musical guest every show, a human fish, a studio audience of superfans, a variety of topics like Loser is the New Nerd, How do Girls Work, The Genuine Sadness Episode, Turtle Birthday and many more.
It was my PI back when it aired every Wednesday.

Because of the extensive tradition of pirate radio in the UK (from Radio Caroline on down), London probably has the most insane landscape of 24/7 internet radio in the world. I've tried to rank these in terms of approximate popularity ranging from NTS (as mentioned) on down to purely DIY weekend-only amateur collectives like LWSTD. If you don't know the stations in your city, just have a quick google and do some Instagram "Following" list exploration and it should be pretty easy to find more (e.g. in Amsterdam check out Echobox, Radio Tempo Não Pára, RRFM, etc...)
- NTS (Dalston) https://www.nts.live/ - Rinse FM (Hoxton) https://rinse.fm/ - Worldwide FM (Islington) https://worldwidefm.net/ (currently mostly on ice but great archive) - Balaami (Peckham) https://www.balamii.com/ - Soho Radio https://sohoradiolondon.com/ - Reprezent Radio (Brixton) https://www.reprezentradio.org.uk/ - Netil Radio (Hackney) https://www.netilradio.com/ - Subtle Radio (Hackney) https://www.subtleradio.com/ - Voices Radio (Kings Cross) https://www.voicesradio.co.uk/ - Aaja (Deptford) https://aajamusic.com/radio/ - Do You!! Finally saw this for the first time (on 35mm thxx Prince Charles Cinema) and wow. Jonathan Glazer and co-writer Jean-Claude Carrière spending all of pre-production re-writing the script without informing the studio… DP Harris Savides pushing the boundaries of underexposed film and getting the craziest deepest browns and purples out of Kodak stock… Alexandre Desplat starting with what seems like a very polite classical score and then gradually bringing in heavy synth bass… and of course Nicole Kidman throwing herself headlong into an insane role (and apparently bullying the producers for more $$$ when they finished under budget)
