A Summerās Tale is available to stream on HBO Max. It's the story of a math major boy who's shy and wears black. He's pulled between three girls while on his beach vacation in northern France. Like many of Eric Rohmer's best films a lot of its runtime is spent on hot people doing fun activities. This is a recommendation for other Rohmer films, if you like this one. My other favorites are The Green Ray, Claire's Knee, Four Adventures of Reinette and Mirabelle, and the Romance of Astrea and Celadon.

If youāre from brooklyn or new york city or just moved here, i know, this is cliche. But i! Donāt! Care! The truffle popcorn is addicting, even if I'm farting for the rest of the movie, itās worth it. Plus they have cute little trailers to gab about with your date or friend, but i also go alone because nobody tried to have small talk with you at the movies and you can just disassociate peacefully in blissful high-power air conditioning on a hot nyc summer day. They have guest curators on a monthly basis and do fun screenings of old flicks. Highly recommend it. Nitehawk > Alamo.

Anthology 10 dollars a lot of lesser known avant garde films mixed in with art/foreign films. most things are also projected on film. really good place if your looking for something different.
Moma is like 10 dollars too but if youāre a student you can get a free entry ticket which allows for a free movie ticket you just have to ask the desk. Moma has alot of stuff on film also and is always putting up classics And retrospectives on filmmakers
Momi is also 10 and has a ton of cool 35mm more mainstream films always playing such as kubrick or Micheal mann.museumās section is also cute especially if you like the muppets.
Lincon center is a good place to go see indies/foreign movies that have come out recently also around 10 dollars also do some retrospectives remasters and 35mm screenings
Spectacle is a community run Brooklyn theater that is one room and plays obscure cinema very fun place to go out to with friends and see something different.
Roxy has some good 35mm screenings good date place to take someone.very comfy inside this fancy hotel downside is little more expensive but overall one of the better theater experiences in New York. Warning hipster central however š

Going to the movies rocks. this was honestly such a hard question. This isnāt exactly the ~best~ movie but it is a great movie to see in a theater
From like 19-20 going to the Landmark in Westwood to see the Room with my friends rocked. The Room is such a funny bad movie and itās even better at this theater because of all the canned responses the audience has to the shit happening on screen. its similar to how campy people get with Rocky Horror Picture Show. People throw plastic spoons and loudly jeer at the movie. occasionally Tommy Wiseau and maybe Greg Sestero will show up and you can take a pic. Highly recommend pregaming and then going with your friends at least once
sometimes a specific audience for it will suck but overall it was always pretty fun.

Another way to generate identity in the present and help you remember your life in the future. It helps that I fixate on individual songs and listen to them multiple times a day, so I enjoy listening to short playlists with the songs I like at the present moment in time. Iāve been doing this since April 2018, and in some ways it feels like my life started then. I can pull up to any month since then and listen to songs that bring it back. In May 2019 I was living in my parentsā sunroom right after I graduated college and listening to Mitskiās cover of Letās Get Married a lot because it felt so clean and soft.

Peoria is my hometown. Itās the jewel city of the Illinois River, situated at its widest point, with big bluffs on either side of the river. This segment of the Illinois River is the site of the oldest European settlements in Illinois, but before that, Native Americans inhabited it too. They called this land by the river āpimiteouiā, which roughly translates from Miami-Illinois to English as āit burns pastā. The wet land near the river but below the river bluffs was protected from prairie wildfires, leaving forests that have always been safe and green. I spent a lot of time hiking in them. Peoriaās country club is on a long street at the top of the bluffs, with views down to the river and the forests. In 1910 when Teddy Roosevelt was in the backseat of a car on the way to that country club he described the road as the āworldās most beautiful driveā, and I think thatās true. A river valley is where mankind started, and itās still all we need. This is a recommendation for my hometown but also for yours.

I love all three Lorde albums, but Solar Power is my favorite. It got a lot of hate when it came out, and I'm worried she might disown it when she drops her next album, so I want to take a stand now that this album is good. It traces such interesting critical lines between 60s/70s hippie culture and 2010s/2020s Instagram wellness culture while still holding its own optimistic and fresh natural wellness. And Lorde's affection for her home island New Zealand is inspiring.
