My favorite flavor of ice cream is coffee but I probably wouldn’t get it at an ice cream shop. The only chocolate ice cream I‘d order is the ben and jerry’s chocolate fudge brownie. Most likely I’d go with some cookie- adjacent flavor like chocolate chip cookie dough or malt with bits of toffee in it. If it’s gelato I’m getting blackcurrant or a floral flavor if it’s available or if not, raspberry or strawberry. Pistachio is always a possibility. I don’t really like ice cream anyway and I’m lactose intolerant so I usually avoid. The van leeuwen oat milk brown sugar ice cream bars are the only ice cream I really eat at this point.
I love a good soft serve vanilla cone, especially if it’s dipped. Otherwise dish all the way, coffee (underrated), black raspberry chip, mint chocolate chip
If pistachio is available then I'm falling straight into its silky salty sweet embrace. As mouse says the pistachio gelato from the place at the end of our street is God tier and I am yet to try anything better.
Elsewhere I like a refreshing mint choc chip because it tastes kind of like toothpaste but in a really enjoyable way and I like that it's often a kind of pleasing gritty texture.
Sometimes the sensory experience of a cone dripping down my hands is simply too much and it has to be a cup with a cute little spoon.
