i got these when i was doing prep in a kitchen and they were a god send. non-slip (which idk if that’s important to you but it is helpful), comfy, and close toed! not the prettiest but they were really nice on my feet. i have pretty high arches and these gave me really good support and i stopped coming home from work with my feet aching every day after i got these lol!

by no means is this a revolutionary or hot take, but i love these shoes so much
recently got my first pair on a trip to japan, and am so obsessed w how comfy and lightweight they are!!! i’m kicking myself for not getting a second pair lol
i feel like im walking around on a tatami mat, and i like that they’re a little different from the sambas i see everyone walking around with

comfy, made from recycled material, AND they carry sizes large enough for my feet, so i finally have some cute shoes that aren’t sneakers or boots. i have gotten several compliments on them already in the 3 days i’ve owned them!!
side note: idk if these are actually summer shoes, but they are breathable enough i can wear them without socks so im running with it

on my old car i used to have a bumper sticker that said “i hope you have a good day” on it. one day i came out of the grocery store and someone had left a note on my car on a sheet of paper from their notebook that said “i hope YOU have a good day!” i think about the person that went out of their way to leave that note a lot and hope that they know how sweet that was. i kept the note and put it in my junk journal/scrapbook and when i’m having a bad day i like to look at it.
