Variety idk first of all a nan Goldin cameo and photograph for poster but just yes idk captured how I felt in this weird moment in my 20s without actually representing the actual events Edge of 17 is such a cringe reflection of being a teenager with a phone and internet The beguiled I thought was a good portrayal of subtle and internal female dynamics that idk when you describe to men they’re like what are upset about Also about the flip between being like this guys a god and then like omg gross Picnic at hanging rock (original) just beautiful and serene very soothing

the craft

idk if it’s the weirdest but there are many objectively uncomfortable scenes and it’s not a sweet romcom or fun PG flick etc… but it’s def a comfort film for me! i think it’s the underlying self empowerment themes? (plus the nostalgia; i loved it as a teenager)
