Stumbled onto this one and canāt stop listening to it. Definitely the theme song for whatever era Iām in right now. I checked out the rest of their discography and itās super solid, but this oneās my top pick rn.

You need one. It doesnāt have to last forever but it can provide solace or guidance in a certain time period, where everytime it plays, it just hitsā¦ itās ur moment. I think over the summer I was Ā«Ā city grrlĀ Ā» by CSS , now Iām definitively weird fishes by radiohead and Iām loving it.

This track is really nice. Sure itās about a guy driving around freeways chatting up some prostitutes. I was surprised that this was almost not on candy-o alsoā¦ itās so catchy.
this actually reminds me of steely dan thematically- some aging no longer joe cool trying to talk himself up to just about anyone whoāll listen, keeping the dooming and looming at bay by chattering away, those scary feelings inadequacy at bay with his fast car, fast ladies, and a good book.
trying to find something or someone to stroke that boomer ego.
itās really just a great driving around song (as almost any Cars song is)- but this one is just a touch more ironic, yet also plaintive.

Expert framing, great outfits, and solid plot, I havenāt stopped thinking about it since I watched it on criterion channel earlier this week.
