you can imagine my surprise when i stepped into a supermarket in são paulo ready to do groceries and saw a vending machine which dispensed coconuts instead of cokes, bendy straw and all. it’s been six years since i last lived in brazil and i still think about that.
but nothing beats a fresh, chilled coconut, chopped in front of you. i like mine spiked with whisky like they do back home in piñones (puerto rico). pair it with arepas de coco topped with stewed cod! now you’re ready for the beach
