Historically, I have been too insecure to be a girl. That pressure of prettiness, of being delicate, of being desirable. I refused to engage. But this year something has shifted. i saw these two ladies in line, one applying lip gloss on her friend while the other held her phone up as a mirror. i took a picture, we giggled, and every time we passed each other in the bar later on, we would tell each other we loved each other.
couple that with all the bathroom compliments and general glee over seeing beautiful women, girlhood is unmatched. girlhood is genuine. and it makes me sad that boys will never experience it

Obviously not all of me, but the sarcastic semi-aspirational tone to this song is a VIBE. From the first listen, it's very clearly expressed all my frustrations with society and the constant pressure to perform, as a girl/woman/supposedly softer gender but also like, acknowledging just how a girl does do it all. <3

This is what I call it hahahah made by mums everywhere but the greased up version is sold along stalls in Mumbai. Two regular slices of white bread, buttered, and the middle filling is cream cheese with red onions, coriander/cilantro, tomatoes and some minced chillis. All veggies chopped mini cube size so they blend with the cheese. Toasted crispy.
