I mostly read fiction too, but I find biographies & memoirs easy to get into because it can often read like fiction.
I really loved Erik larson’s, “devil in the white city” - Chicago and world fair history mixed with a bio of a serial killer
Michelle Zauner (of japanese breakfast) has A great memoir called “crying in h mart“ that also had me crying in public
If you’re into music or art or whatever, you can usually find a legend who wrote about what it was like to come up in their time. It’s pretty fun to read ppls‘ stories

I'm not always a huge reader but I love a good autobio/memoir. Best most personal way to learn about interesting folks. Two faves: Kiss Me Like A Stranger - Gene Wilder / Born Standing Up - Steve Martin.

Paolo Coelho. He’s the author of The Alchemist, which is such a classic story. I love his work. I’m also  loving audio books these days – the last one I listened to was Tremendous: The Life of a Comedy Savage by Joey “CoCo” Diaz. He’s one of my favorite comedians, he’s so funny and I really love that guy!
