Surf and turf- lobster tail and filet. Probably a nice mushroom cream sauce on top of the filet. Melted butter for the lobster, obvi. Roasted asparagus on the side.

My aunts chocolate cake with buttercream frosting (shout out to Take The Cake in Guilford, CT. She opened and used to own it. Can’t vouch for it now but hope it’s still great!)
If I’m gonna die anyway, may as well break my sobriety and have some top shelf whiskey. Probably a nice glass of red with my surf and turf too.

I almost never have room for it but I always want it. So I just get it to-go. It’s a nice reminder of a lovely dinner and also dessert is simply better in the privacy of your own home.
I just took myself out on a lunch date and ordered a to-go carrot cake and they gave it to me in a tin foil swan! So now I get cake later and I get to carry around a conversation piece. A-one experience.

The meal is just something to do until it’s time for dessert. My sister always is tasked with bringing a chocolate dessert and it’s always fantastic.
I won’t turn down a nice pecan pie either.
