Last year I realized I save so much time and mental energy if I just keep all my summer stuff in one big bag all season. I can be ready for a day at the beach in MINUTES and ain’t that the goal of life?
Here’s what I have in mine:
Sunscreen
Sunglasses
Portable hammock
Sandals
Bathing suit
Towel
Empty water bottle
Magazine (unlike a book, it’s ok if it gets a lil crumpled)

Everyday bag?: Water bottle, hand sanitizer wipes, aquaphor, keys, wallet, quarter for the aldi cart, googly eyes, sunscreen for me, sunscreen for baby, cloth diaper, wet bag, extra outfit, wipes, burp cloth, small first aid kit, so many cars (why so many?), some variation of snacks. I’ll add crayons and a coloring cloth if we’re going to a restaurant. Sunnies are on my face. My book is left at home, a sacrifice so I can be an attentive mother. I sometimes have a bag I stick with for a while, other times it’s a rotation of totes until I spill something inside and have to wash it. Wait, it’s always a rotation because it’s only a matter of time before I spill something. That’s why I asked for a waterproof book cover for my birthday.

phone in hand (camera, music, books) and glasses on my face cause im -3.5d shortsighted

it was messy but thanks to this im motivated to clean everything out.

Every time I look something up on Google images, more and more of the results are AI slop. It’s lit a fire under me to collect more books - been looking at the art & fashion sections of used book stores and building up my library. It‘s also nice to have a finite source to seek inspiration from rather than getting caught in an infinite scroll.

I love hot pot so much that I bought a zojirushi one for home. Perfect for having friends over or for group trips, everyone brings their favorite veggies & meats and you cook and yap the night away.
