Not really a secret, but surrounded by graves the sunlight feels brighter and the greenery sweeter! I swear! It’s close to prospect park but much less crowded (in terms of the living). There are so many species of trees that it qualifies as an arboretum, and they offer great early morning guided birding events! Must see: the pile of sticks left by visitors at the grave of Rex the dog, who hopefully gets to chew on them on the other side

The cemetery has beautiful trees and grave stones that people have paid a lot of money for to be buried on a plot of land. The greyer the day and more wet the floor the better for the ambiance. Look at the fusion of nature and remains of human spirit and you can maybe be find some piece of yourself as you reflect on your own mortality. Shout out tower hamlets and nunhead cemetery for the winter mindful walks

A pretty little spot nestled between some buildings. One second your in the city, and then boom, you're sitting by a fountain and under a tree, and next to genetically remarkable Japanese maples and small trees. It's pretty, and the birds will sometimes gather nearby. Going to the top of the parking garage nearby is also rewarding. There's also a few places that are fun to go if you're an evil trespasser (not that I would know)

Lately the only things I feel compelled to draw for tattoo practice are horses (and greyhounds—the horse of dogs)
