there is nothing better than a solo date to see a band you love. no shouting over the crowd to your date, freedom to dance as crazy as you want, peak people-watching. get as drunk as you want, who cares. talk to a stranger or don’t. tip the bartender and merch person, befriend the bouncer. you are the main character when you are on an adventure with yourself. who knows you better than you…? music is so euphoric and transformative, i will always cherish my solo concerts

⭐Four hour coach trip up to a city ive never stayed in before to see my favourite band (who have two songs on spotify) in the tiny upstairs of a tiny bar and I bothered to make myself look nice and I am EXCITED and SO THRILLED I have needed a win so bad Ive loved this band for five years I didnt think I'd get to see them live 😭😭😭 theyre from the opposite side of the world but theyre based closer now!!!!!!!

🎶I’ve never actually done this…but I just bought a ticket to go see Robert Lester Folsom next month and I, at this point in time, have nobody to go with! Normally I would wait to buy a ticket until I had someone to go with me but I thought fuck it, I wanna go so I should be able to! And now I’m feeling very liberated so. Anyway, if this is good for me it’s good for u!

🚿I have taken showering in the comfort of my own home for granted. I started going to the gym recently and I find that the only way I can remain consistent is if I go first thing in the morning. Which means I go straight to work right after. Which means I have to shower in the locker room. Which means I only shower at home when I don’t go to work directly after the gym, so Saturday and Sunday. Surely, I could just “take another shower” if I wanted the comfort of my own shower so bad throughout the week. However, not only is that more effort and time wasted, but also, the wait until the weekend to treat myself to a home shower releases a sort of euphoric catharsis. Taking a dump naked and immediately hopping into the shower. The smell of EOS Pink Champagne body wash emanating through the steamy bathroom. Sky Ferreira shower curtain watching my bare butt as I brush my hair and perform my skin care routine. These are the sort of experiences you can only get twice a week.
