i recently found out that the more joints a toy has, and the more posable it is, that toy makers and collectors call that “articulation” and i am obsessed.
pick up a 3D printed doohickey and drop a nice “wow, so articulate” 🤌
more than any other fidget toy, i could just hold and feel an action figure for hours
there’s so much to explore and move (depending on the articulation)
intensely detailed designers making highly realistic dolls and posing them in all sorts of scenes. each doll is a character with a whole backstory and relationships etc. I love the dedication to making the clothes and the tattoos and the piercings and room decorations just right then photographing them with all this drama.
