Just sitting and exploring where my attention goes without judgement… coming back to my breath if I’m lost in thought. Noticing if I’m feeling antsy without judging or resisting it. One of my favorite ways to meditate

If your eyes open, if you’re distracted for a second or multiple times, it’s all okay. You set a container of time to be intentional about the practice of being still and it’s just that: a practice. Let any distractions be part of the practice and opportunities to keep bringing you back into your body, connecting to your breath and the present moment.

I started meditating about 2 months ago. I haven’t been consistent but this app is doing wonders for me. I love the breath work aspect. Tonight it focused in all the things ive touched. kinda dumb but I went through it all, toast, clothing, my dog, my makeup etc. different textures different purposes. It’s weird when you break down your day to the small things. Try it, you might like it.

Breathe in for 4, hold for 4, exhale for 4, hold for 4. Repeat. Helps slow things down, and the counting helps to keep your busy brain from interrupting so much. When it does interrupt, just notice it and go back to your breathing. (Basically I’m explaining meditation lol) There’s also the five senses thing where you stop to notice a sound, touch, smell, taste and sight at the moment. Also! Thinking something is great isn’t all bad! It can be part of savoring an experience, deepening it and making it more memorable.

I want to strike a balance between consuming and creating. I think that's why we might feel so aimless sometimes. I told myself I'd create one thing a day, even if it's shitty. A doodle, product concept, song lyric, a beat, an animation, etc. Literally anything. I just need to stop consuming nonstop and actually do something with the info I process. will report back

skip the skillshare subscription or masterclass. I think it's called LinkedIn learning now but a lot of public library cards give you free access to all the courses. web dev, sound production, animation, you name it. bon apetit hun
