Breathe in for 4, hold for 4, exhale for 4, hold for 4. Repeat.
Helps slow things down, and the counting helps to keep your busy brain from interrupting so much. When it does interrupt, just notice it and go back to your breathing. (Basically I’m explaining meditation lol)
There’s also the five senses thing where you stop to notice a sound, touch, smell, taste and sight at the moment.
Also! Thinking something is great isn’t all bad! It can be part of savoring an experience, deepening it and making it more memorable.
