If you love extravagant costume design “What A Way To Go” is a must! The dark comedy features a dynamic protagonist, Shirley McLane, alongside her lovers (hunks Dick Van Dyke and Paul Newman to name a few) finding tragic ends and ridiculous circumstances with fabulous set designs and fashions. Enjoy!
It’s really a movie about getting stupid ridiculous plastic surgery and falling in love with Lauren Bacall which honestly may be the move. it’s also fun to get really into film noir to the extent you can’t speak to people anymore because you cant stop saying shit like “look it, see”
costuming 10/10, plus marilyn, music, and surprisingly progressive undertones. honestly a cultural touchstone in so many ways (i also recommend some like it hot, not in color but still very good)
