I literally can‘t stop making a new playlist whenever I like a new song bc I want to listen to it on repeat but don’t want to pay for Spotify premium

i have been listening to the same playlist for the past month straight. every day. on my way to work, on my way home from work, during work, at the gym, on my walks. everytime i add a new song to the playlist, i freak out and hate it because it doesn’t match the perfect vibe i have curated.
i am bored of it, but i still only want to listen to it because the blend of music makes so much sense to me.
i’m driving myself mad and i can’t help it

Since i was 16 ive been doing this thing where I have one main playlist called ‘Currently’ and I add anything I’m vibing with
Then when I start getting sick of songs/want a fresh start, I copy paste the songs and file them away into a new ‘Season’
But they’re not actual seasons, they’re more like metaphorical seasons. Some seasons span a year, some just a few days. Some symbolize change or a series of events
Of course I have some separate genre based playlists as well, but for me this works perfectly as an alternative to monthly Playlists

I create playlists for each niche thing I do. Frollicking in the grass near my house? Playlist. Rainy day where I want to go outside but can't get out of bed? Playlist. Watching Top Ten Thousand cheese while in the shower? Playlist. Thinking about my girlfriend? Mixtape!
Just make playlists for each niche thing you do... unless you're the type of person to only have one playlist with a million songs.
