seems like everyone and their mum is doing this but it’s for good reason!!! truly has stood the test of time, might be even better now that i’m not a 15 yr old yet to experience the pain of being a woman in her 20s. kind of a painful watch that makes you want to cringe every 5 minutes but….. it’s so good

Decided to rewatch girls because I’m sick and bedridden. The first time I watched Girls I was 18, and was living in a hostel in Times Square. I remember really wanting to be like the girls.
The last time I watched this show all the way through I was 20, and I was living in Brooklyn during the pandemic. I remember watching it and missing getting to see my friends and explore the city.
Now I’m 23, and am the same age as the girls. It resonates differently now, as I am finding myself in situations like theirs, or cringing at how stupid I think they all are at times. It’s such an odd comfort watch.

It’s a perfect show and there’s never been anything like it. I mean feel free to recommend shows like it but I’ve probably seen them and I’ve probably enjoyed them but I’ve definitely concluded that they still don’t compare.
