I like art ok. and I'm addicted to my phone. so I combined the two and tried to bring more whimsy to my smartphone experience by downloading the dailyart app. everyday a new painting is presented with a small text talking about the work and the artist, and you can browse other works too! this kinda sounded sponsored... I swear it's not (I wish)

It's a widget you can put on your home screen that changes every day and gives you a new artwork. You can then click on it and it gives you info about the piece. The artworks are also savable to your gallery!
I've lost count of how many years I've had this for but it has brought me a lot of joy over the years.

well maybe not EVERYTHING but ANYTHING that tickles your fancy! it’s like going on a scavenger hunt and collecting little treasures.
also a fan of not capturing the painting in its entirety and zooming in on the aspects i like most (i LOVE getting up close to an impressionist painting to see the texture)
now i have a little museum inside my phone of all the things i like yay!

👁when you walk around try to pay attention to your surroundings and take notes of what you see on a specific notebook. For example yesterday I saw: a spider eating a bug, a tiny black and white bird on the sidewalk, a hawk flying, a yellow flower I’ve never seen before, a red poppy, a woman with bright cherry hair, and a shoe-shaped cloud. It’s good exercise for the writers out there

📜one of my favourite ways to spend time is going to poetry foundation’s website and just clicking on anything - besides poetry, they have lots of resources and essays about poets or particular movements. I discovered so many great things doing this
