the book is a comforting winding surfy 420 haze and I think the movie is decent too (staying on this thread because this is also my fave genre of book and I need more)
It’s fun and wacky and feels like living inside the movie. And it’s full of SoCal wish-fulfillment. (And unlike some Pynchon it’s never a grind to read.)
I am @ looking-thru-office-window age... Used to cringe & see it as a very boring adult tendency to stare at nothing, but I totally get it now... There is so much to see out there. Brain is off.
