rossnewbs we do not have to live with harsh overhead lighting or the fluorescent glow under cabinets. This is a cozier way to illuminate the room just enough for a 4 a.m. glass of water

I love lamps that softly diffuse light โ€” canโ€™t go wrong with lanterns (link here, here and here for inspo), plus they have endless DIY potential. I made this one with a stack of shades + a base from another broken lamp.
