affogato - espresso and just plain vanilla bean ice cream so so yum - put a little flakey salt too amazing or a matcha affogato with like a passionfruit creamsicle ice cream (i tried passionfruit creamsicle at folderal the place that does ice cream and wine pairings in paris and it was so yum)
Flakey salt on ice-cream is THE move! The juxtaposition of opposites 🤝
And passion fruit + matcha is a match made in heaven so I will have to seek this out!
A few months ago, was at the end of the line of the metro, and a little lost, went into a cafe to recharge, and their "affogato" was a deceptive delight - a burnt mint syrup at the bottom, bitter dark coffee, vanilla icecream. SO GOOD I DREAM OF IT.
☕️🍦 @ home - double espresso with some vanilla 🍨 and if i am feeling spicy maybe some amaretto 🥃 if i am out - caffe panna has an entire gd affogato menu, my fav is aud’s dream - sweet cream ice cream, peanut butter swirl, espresso, whipped panna 🤩
If you don’t have a real espresso machine make coffee in a moka pot and pour it over a scoop of your favorite ice cream. I like Trader Joe’s vanilla bean. If you really get wild add a splash of amaretto.
