i admit i had a negative view of thank you notes after being forced to write a hundred after the bar mitzvah i had a million years ago. but for one-off sends, thank you notes are mementos that go such a long way toward ingratiating yourself to the giving party and just generally expressing gratitude which i feel like is positive

Simple way to show you're thinking of your people. Sure, challenges include sourcing peoples' addresses and then finding a place that sells stamps. But surprising your friends and fam with a postcard in the mail is worth the extra hassle.

An uber driver once told me to get on it, that it's supposed to have health benefits. I haven't looked any of that up, but I get my sea moss (a golden gloopy "gel") from this dude named Wayne who has a table set up on 125th, by the newstand; he says he makes it with love. I stir it into hot water before bed.
