since shakespeare was taken from me by devious spirits distance has made the heart grows stronger, this means i appreciate his poetric grrove even more and wish every day to speak with purpose like one of his creations. altho, many mistake poetry as low frequency words when its simply speaking with purpose, with a meter and verse. not speaking for the sake of it, but the love of it. grounding onself in a deeper philosphy is also a marker of true oneness. so i recommend speaking poetrically but also gibberatically because thats the philosophical side, yin n yang n that.

it sounds stupid and pretentious but every time I see one of those old school British actors recite some old Wordsworth poem i think damn you really did it!!! Or George Steiner has those beautiful stories about the value of Talmudic memory during the holocaust, or Pasternak standing up to Stalin during the Soviet Writer's Conference in the 30s surely to be arrested and making everyone recite Shakespeare's "I summon up remembrance of things past.." its so powerful!!! Recitation and memory has such strength to it, and I want to keep it strong!
I'm trying to learn a Blake poem rn and I feel such a special connection to every line when I learn them... who cares if im pretentious!!!!!!

This is the greatest love of my life (and, in a sense, my career given my future MFA career, stay tuned), but you really should read more poetry in general. It's fantastic. okay yes "Instagram poetry" is en vogue hot garvage and frankly, makes me sick to my stomach, but poetry as an art form which contains and focuses experience, emotion, and attention, is one of the most profound things (ideally) we continue to produce. Poetry is, in a sense, something which moves towards a potentiality of art and writing in general in a current moment where it seems almost lacking.
What, then, can we do as poets or writers?

poetry by defintion is a vibes based genre. its not about gframmar or logic but getting the vibes/emtoiom out so just read a poem and if u get something without knowing every single word or understanding all the metaphors then the vibe is there
