joepeters such a good area to stay! Make sure you venture out to Palais de Tokyo and if you're wanting a night out, La Gare/ Le Gore is also really worth the travel

Hello! Im a Montreal local so heres my take on it -- Im not vegetarian but I know some pretty good spots
Libraires: Librairie Henri-Julien(my personal fav) -- Librairies Un livre a soi Food: Lola Rosa, Nil Bleu(they have a vegan option), Our place(plenty of vegan option), Lov and Sham(i loveeee it) Leisure: Bike throughout the Mount Royal(a lot of hills tho but when you get there, it feels like Amsterdam), thrift your way through the Mile-End, go to the Musee des Beaux Arts(a classic, last year they had a Basquiat exposition!), Bar hop on St Laurent
If you need more just tell me!

BOULANGERIES 🥐 Victoire (9th arrondissement) and Pépite (11th arrondissement) both have authentic pastries at good prices with outdoor seating to enjoy the sun.
MUSEUMS 🪽 (that aren’t the Louvre) Orangerie or Rodin!! I loved both.
RANDOM 🍯 Aristivas gallery in the 8th, ZXSBN6DD3VZBGSY thrift stores (complete store refresh every Friday), cycling next to Canal St Martin (or just sitting there!!) and going to Parc des Buttes-Chaumont!!

Roam around Marais, the 11th and the surrounding areas. These are the most hip neighborhoods in Paris, which have a very local-oriented lifestyle (boutiques with handmade stuff and trinkets, local coffee shops, bars, delis and restaurants where you can easily make friends including the staff). Lots of authentic food from around the globe. + Jewish and Chinese districts (Marais), Muslim (Belleville, the 11th)
Some of my faves: Pili Pili, Au Petit Garage, Le Chat Noir, Orange Mecanique and their neighbors (Rue Jean-Pierre Timbaud and Rue Oberkampf), Le Progres, L'etincelle (bar), L'etoile Berbere, Nour (Middle-Eastern food), Babka Zana (bakery), Aleph (patisserie + rose/orange blossom/pistachio lattes!), Da Vito/Moonshiner (Pizza/Speakeasy), L'epicier (Middle Eastern-style speakeasy), Gem la Patisserie (Southeast Asian macarons, which unlike Laduree are freshly made every day)
P.S. La Gare is a bit far, but it's the best jazz club in Paris.

its so cool to still stumble across sites like this. i was trying to find where to watch a pretty underground movie and someone on reddit pointed me in this direction and now i come here first when trying to find a niche film im trying to watch. it has so much more than just movies though. so cool to see history documented in real time like this.
