rerec; we went on a family vacation to vegas when i was small (mostly on the strip, doing the various child friendly things, largely gift shops), but seeing the hoover dam up close and going inside is the most vivid memory i have of the whole trip. would probably be more interesting to learn some of the history as an adult

Mall of america

So gigantic and disorienting in a fun way. 2 hours only covered about 40% of it. Like the weird mall that appears in your dreams. They had an exhibit called “Onionhead’s Revenge” but it was closed.
