inspiring, well-filmed documentary about one man’s obsession/dedication to the craft of sushi making. you really see the impact of his philosophy of striving to continuously improve on his sons and his staff and it’s crazy how he takes decades to train them. he is a cultural phenomenon yet never intended to become famous. the sushi also looks mouthwatering and I liked how they touched on the societal problems with overfishing as well.

I love how this just shows the dedication one can give to their craft, and also a really good story about a son living up to his father’s legacy. Also… I used to hate sushi, but after seeing how delicious they made it look in the film, I decided to try ”real” sushi and I loved it!!

Def a learning curve to chess but it challenges your brain to think ahead and adapt to your opponent‘s playing style. there’s a creative element to it where unfamiliar situations force you to problem solve. it’s a blend of rationality but elegance. there are many diff types of chess (dice chess exists?) also the surge of dopamine when you figure your way out of a tough spot >
