steelyfan1998 it’s funny because he looks SO MUCH like them but he’s weirdly short and the shelter who had him and his siblings as puppies said boxer mix which made me assume maybe they saw his mom? I think he’s predominantly some kind of hound at the very least maybe a redbone coonhound because he has the quirky independent personality and overly emotional attached nature, but I suspect he also has some shepherd in him because he engages in strong herding behavior and seems to have that drive… someday I will buy a DNA test for him and find out

Will share more later there are too many and he’s a goofy little man now. The bottom left photo is him in Timmy mode because he has the soul of a nine year old boy with ADHD named Timmy who loved soccer and died in a tragic accident. You can really see it there

HAVING AN EXCEPTIONALLY CUTE AND EXTROVERTED DOG
Benny extorted pizza crusts from the people sitting across from us on the patio last night by making eyes at them. Everywhere we go people walk by exclaiming that he’s cute and I can’t leave my apartment without at least one person asking to pet him! He gets just as much attention as he did when he was a baby and people often think he’s still a puppy… some might find this annoying but he loves meeting new friends more than anything so if he’s happy I’m happy 🫶 and it’s really nice seeing the joy he brings to people’s day!!! He’s a star 🌟

My dad teases me about how when I was a little kid, my favorite thing to do when I was on the landline phone with somebody—be it a relative or one of my best friends—was to breathlessly describe the things that were in my bedroom so that they could have a mental picture of everything I loved and chose to surround myself with, and where I sat at that moment in time. Perfectly Imperfect reminds me of that so thanks for always listening and for sharing with me too 💌
