The trail of ten falls is incredible! It’s a bit of a trek to get there but so worth it. One of my favorite hikes OAT 🙌🏻
Drive up the hills on the west side of the river and find a place to walk around - so many gorgeous views.
SE Hawthorne Street is a lovely spot for an afternoon stroll

WATERFALL AND ELEVATOR

willamette falls is the second largest waterfall in north america behind niagara falls which is kinda interesting. it’s fun to watch giant logs go down the falls from the viewpoint
and the elevator is the only vertical street in north america. also very convenient way to get from downtown to midtown
i live at the end of the oregon trail so everything here is pretty old and historic but its cool here

North Cascades

definitely one of the more underrated parks. but wilderness is absolutely stunning—in one day, you can see some crazy high mountains, baby blue-colored lakes, and tons of wildlife. plus the main drive thru (highway 20) is only open for summer cuz of snow in winter. but also cool to check out the Methow Valley on the eastern side of the park since Mazama, Twisp and Winthrop are some of the hidden gems of the PNW

FOREST PARK

portland specific post!!!! wee woo wee woo
I grew up here but somehow never spent much time in our largest park because my mom told me I’d get shanked. turns out it’s actually a normal and beautiful place that is perfect for laying down in or walking if you like that kind of thing. I’m not a hiker but I respect a good walk so I think I will be walking to the witch house someday soon. ran into a friend there yesterday while with other friends and it just felt very communal. good spot and you def won’t get murdered.
