i like a 15-20 min walk but even a 5 min march around the block would be good while walking I listen to podcasts that have nothing to do with work (nymphet alumni is a fave here) spend abt 20 min eating my lunch ideally id spend the last 20 min reading but I usually am playing solitaire on my phone for a brain break or catching up on socials make a cup of tea in the last couple min to start the afternoon well

This rec is highly specific to my work situation. I rarely take my lunch hour, opting to eat whatever I meal preped at my desk to save money. But I realized I could use my lunch hour to walk to the gym two minutes away and exercise. This breaks up the workday in a pleasant way, surprisingly boosts my productivity, and reclaims time in the evening I'd rather use on creative projects. If your situation allows for it, I recommend it.

not doing anything pressing at work? got a quick pause to take a break? stretch those legs a bit, use the bathroom in the basement for no reason (added benefit of isolation), step outside a bit, get that blood moving
