UNrecommending ketchup. nasty ass dusty musty abomination
From a hater's stance, we should unrecommend things we hate, like tomatoes

I told a friend the other day I tried rolling up to the box office at MSG for Charli XCX's sold out show and my friend responded "what are you on Seinfeld?". Tea. But going to the box office is something that this digital age does not always consider. I have had much luck at any other "sold out" show in NYC by going to the box office on the day of, purchasing a ticket at face value, and strutting on into the venue. Typically the venue holds a row or so for the occasion. Unfortunately, the box office in reference at the top of this rec, did not deliver on my hopes and dreams of being Brat.

I haven't been in NYC for that long but I've found that the well for film in NYC is pretty deep and you can really find anything you are looking for on a given night. Obscure, Foreign, Indie, Cult Classic, whatever. Screen Slate is a good resource to find whats playing where all around the city. I would also suggest following a lot of the theaters on ig and they will have posts about showings that might pique your interest. Spectacle and Film Noir are pretty cool screening rooms in BK that are pretty low key and DIY if you are looking for an interesting night out. Finally, getting a membership to metrograph, ifc or film forum is a good option if you go to one of them and like it. Reduced prices go along way if you are going to a theater pretty frequently.

i am so sorry! love is the sweetest thing! remind yourself the air you breathe in is not lost when you let it out!!! and you'll always breathe more back in. maybe sometime later you'll breathe in a puff of air you already inhaled before! such is love and its ever-present overflowing abundant nature. my advice is to start doing new things from now that don't involve him, try not to talk to him about them at all, and try not to think of him while doing it. like a new hobby, or frequenting a new coffee shop, or volunteering somewhere, etc. it's like branching out from your current norm, creating something new and independent of the relationship, that is untouched/un-'tainted' kinda. it's like opening a new tab or window mentally. or creating new files. by the time you move away, and are going through it, you'll want a portion of your life you can resort to that is fresh and separate from the Big Sad, no matter how small. sending u hugs

switch your location and lingo. take it outdoors, lay/sit under the sun in nature. you are no longer rotting, but instead marinating in a new May, fermenting fresh feelings, steeping in sunlight, and brewing a fresh pot of thoughts
