While perhaps not my favorite, it's the one I find myself most often returning to this year (this and Burial's 'Raver,' and perhaps Mk.gee's 'Dream Police'). It encapsulates the sublime sense of life Flying Lotus' production breathes through its musicality. The most interesting part about Fly Lo is the fact that his tracks always have a sense of autonomy- they assemble themselves. You feel them shudder with life and move through a wide range of natural-futurist landscapes dominated by other worldly signs of life and transcendental expressions of thought. Cosmagramma as a whole best encapsulates this, but considering the context of the question, I have to go with Galaxy.

Difficult to put Flying Lotus in just one box, since he pulls from so many influences, but FL makes some great electronic music.

Calm and chaotic; serene electronic. this made me quite emotional and I can explain why. If you want to kick back and leave your body.

Probably the one I’ve listened to front to back the most! Feels very of electronic music from its era (a sort of teenage-internet 2014 feel) whilst also having some genuinely timeless house songs on there. Airglow Fires is an all timer.

A.G’s record is his best to date, but lengthy. Had he cut out some of the slower cuts it would be undeniably incredible. Really great stuff all around tho. Its finally getting warm enough to enjoy Turnstile, too. Glow On is a record that radiates warmth through meaty punk riffs, surf rock melodies and intensive drumming.

I moved to London a couple months ago. Last week, I saw The Dare live & in person for the first time, so I wrote about it for my blog. Give it a read if you got a couple minutes :)
