I’m a typical mean, but safe, LA driver so will spend my whole drive angry at slow/bad drivers if i dont have a good music vibe going on. As such, when i drive alone, i usually spend 5 minutes before driving, deciding what i can sing or listen to so that I can have the patience needed to not yell at ppl. Today it was Not Like Us (kendrick), last week it was pink pony club (chappell). Will probably spend my whole work day thinking about or might borrow some of yall recs to get me through the drive home.
My favorite is when i pick just enough songs so that when the last song finishes, i turn off the car

I will say I did get my learner’s permit which feels like a feat considering I’m a city kid born and raised so I’d like credit for that. I want to learn how to drive but I fear I’ll be a shit driver to be honest. Right now I’m just motivating myself to just do it already by listening to tracks that just sound and feel like they are meant to be bumped behind the wheel. For example, listen to: WESTSIDE STORY by 454, Frostbite by ESP, Bass Jump by Miss Madeline and ok ok by Bootleg Baby.

normally i hate obnoxious people who play really loud music and have their windows down and shake the entire neighborhood when it’s complete silence. i do live on long island tho, so complete silence happens once in a blue corn moon
however today i was driving and Me and You by Werner (last name is too long to remember) came on my drive. i thought it to be funny to just blast it as i drove my merry way along and i felt so much internal joy from the absurdity that was that experience
i thought it was over for the day until later, The Rake Hornpipe came on. these are all my liked songs by the way, they didn’t just show up. and yes these are liked songs of mine in spotify. no i don’t know why. i was able to do it for a little bit, as the song is really short but memorable. it’s a joy to be dumb sometimes
