🏠currently live a car ride away from ~everything which is making me feel very sad and isolated. the public transit situation is pretty rough too. i’m excited to be where i can just walk to fun and new and interesting places.
but first, i have to figure how one locates and secures an apartment on their own...

☺️haven't signed the lease yet but it's basically a done deal. i'm so excitedddd!!! landlord is super nice and the only other person in my building is my coworker who is awesome. rent is great and the place is pet friendly!! will definitely be getting a cat after a few months getting settled. it's gonna take me awhile to fully furnish it but i should have everything i absolutely need when i move in things will just be sparse lol. i'm excited about moving and decorating and putting together furniture (i LOVE putting together furniture)

🤖oh boy this one is gonna be controversial. first off to be transparent I am a huge nerd and train models for a living. that being said, I was a huge ai hater for a long time and never used it in anything I did.
Then, I started using it a bit for coding, then for research (tool use ftw), then for a whole bunch of simple tasks I wanted to automate but couldn’t w pure code (either due to needing unpredictable input or needing buttons pushed).
Is it super useful, not yet. Should we replace people with it, obviously not. But like dude. You can TALK to your computer in ENGLISH (or french, arabic, japanese, etc.) and it will understand you and respond. I think the like crazy shift in human - computer interaction here is kinda slept on ngl, I fw this heavy now.
