my convos/messages seem to be borked

yesterday whilst underground on a train, i tried to compose and send a group convo on the app, but my service cut out partway through. the app didn’t react to my getting service back, so i closed and reopened it, but now my Convos view just doesn’t open at all, endless loading spinner

Every time that I try to have a Convo with someone on here, I can see what they said and type out my reply, but whenever I hit the Send button, nothing happens. Is there something I can do to fix this?

the unread notification for convos refuses to disappear

the convo has been read but the notif is still there. viewed it on pc and mobile and it just won't leave
