Ugh this one. Immediately the gtr at the beginning and throughout pulls on my heart strings and the piano that arrives halfway through feels wonderful. Devastating lyrics, beautiful yet simple instrumentation, Elliot’s voice. What more is there to say. A classic.

I’m walking alone in dark, cold, snowy weather on the streets of some Eastern European city letting my entire body feel the intensity of all the world’s sorrow when I hear this song. Not to be dramatic.

Genuinely I employ you to listen to this fucking song🫩🫩 It is so good. It is so heartbreaking. This was the only song I listened to when a friend of mine had a seizure, and I had to watch it with my eyes. This song I feel explains heartbreak or just missing the idea of someone really well by using concepts and it feels eerily familiar to like a Sinatra songāœŒļø

Currently obsessed with this British rock group from the 80’s. Can’t believe I’ve just now discovered this group.

Inspired by 80ā€˜s production, this song feels bigger than itself. End credits of a movie vibe. Reflective of passing youth. In layered, reverb laden vocals he sings ā€œGrowing up is never easy…Wrong enough to say I’m sorry. Owning up to things I can’t undo.ā€ It’s great for a drive alone thinking on all the things that’ve passed you by and all that has yet to arrive :)
