I had one of the most intense experiences in Chicago but I will digress for the sake of this rec. One of the coolest people I know recommended this Asian fusion restaurant to me and it did not disappoint. Incredible food, apps and atmosphere. I got the chicken dumplings, kung pao chicken and rolled rice noodles. the ’dream sequence’ cocktail slaps!!!!!!

The best (lil) burger in the city. THEE best fries in the city (Duck Fat or gtfo). Twists on classic Chinese cocktails. Wu-Tang Tiger Style Ribs go brazy. A decade living here this was the only place that I took every friend/coworker/visitor. (Legit) classic hip-hop and kung-fu it’s like RZA became a restaurateur, and a good one.

Mission Chinese Food Summer Pop Up

It’s back! Honestly no other dining experience quite hits like these dishes can. It’s kinda like jumping into the mosh pit or riding a roller coaster. The flavors are turned up LOUD. When the permanent locations closed i was depressed to think I wouldnt get to eat it again. Catch it while it’s up in NYC! What not to miss: - chongqing chicken wings (insane Szechuan peppercorn coating) - thrice cooked bacon with rice cakes (smoke factor is at max) - shiso fried rice - smashed cucumbers Go go go.
