Working in retail and coming up with harmless but insane fabrications about myself to tell customers is the highlight of any shift. âYes I am an up and coming race car driverâ or âactually yeah I ran a marathon just the other dayâ or âI used to be married in a past lifeâ. Literally nonsense that has no impact but feels so fun for some reason. Big fan!

Everyone assumes I'm much younger than I am, so what do I do when I find someone's treating me like a teenager? I lie & tell them I'm 10 years older than I actually am or sometimes that I have a son named Carlitos- this one I use ONLY when the other person starts talking about their own kids- to relate to them ya know? The look on their faces is worth the sin I'm committing & it often earns me respect in an otherwise uncomfy situation.
