aka a box of all of the things you would need (stuff like a set or two of dishes, hair dryer, scissors, etc) within the first day or two of moving and unpacking. in addition to labeling boxes; that way, when you arrive you don’t have open all sorts of boxes to get those few different things!

If you want boxes, ask your local convenience stores, and Trader Joe’s usually has wine boxes you can take. Also check Craigslist or FB or what have you and see if people are giving away their moving boxes.

🥳Whenever I’ve moved or help someone move, it’s usually a joint effort - grab a few trusted friends and buy a few pizzas and a case of beer in exchange for their help. Stock up on moving boxes and packing tape at Uhaul and rent a van if you need to

HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WORKER’S DAY!!!! i love having a union, i love being a union steward and getting to support my unit. when my union won its contract, i got a pay bump, better benefits, and increased protection as a worker. 🥳
unions help address racial and gender pay gaps, issues workplaces impose on families and those having kids, addressing unsafe conditions, plus things like better health insurance, wages and overtime, weingarten rights to representation, and more!!!
