hirohiko araki is a master of all time i won’t be told otherwise. jojo has always been a very fun series for its crazy character art & wackadoo stories but Jojolion is maybe the most insane, dramatic thing he has ever published. is it decades deep into a multigenerational (and multidimensional) storyline? yes but that works in its favor every page has the weight of all the events from previous storylines stacked behind it in such magnificent ways while spinning out into its own insane little happening. i might post more about manga here getting back into it lately has been activating my brain like insane

love how his gore + exploration of dark themes is off-putting mostly because they r represented so beautifully
I'm barely on chapter 44 of Billy Bat from Naoki Urasawa but I wasn't expecting this story at all, accompanied with the amazing artwork it's impossible for me not to be glued to the manga. It cracks my brain in a good way,
