STEWING OVER STORY IDEAS

Just spent two hours of my work shift today monologuing about the different characters, plots, locations, and connections that I want to write. Like, hell, I was just thinking about a douchebag character who crashes wedding receptions in his free time to get a free plate of food. Completely random, but I love it.

whispering in the library is like if sex and the city was for books

we are hanging out and trying to do work but we keep chatting and reacting to the things we're working on. whispering is hilarious because while I may be talking more quietly than my average chatting volume, the timbre of my whisper cuts through the air and seems to have a more distracting effect on sitters-by, but like, i'm sorry!! it's saucy and fun to whisper!! what can I say!!

Mischief

I’ve been known to do harmless things to others (swapping all Netflix pics & names, or spending weeks pushing a friends couch an inch closer to the wall a day at a time, etc.) and so I’ve been sent many Tik Toks of people doing mischievous things with the message saying “YOU CODED.”
Life is more fun when you find ways to comically inconvenience someone’s life.

Dont get protective over ur books

I overheard this conversation between two girls, where one didn’t want to lend the other a book because she liked to keep her books in mint condition (“you FOLD the corners ? Oh god no”). Like girl what ? (to each their own I guess??) surely that is the joy of books- for these pages to be passed around, shared, worn and tattered. For stories to be read and re-read, each time with new rips in the page or the ever satisfying feeling of folding a corner. Scars of your journey with the story.
I want the book to FEEL how much I loved reading it. To be loved is to be changed !! i will happily crack the spine of this fine novel and enjoy it !! Read it and weep sad book girl 🤚🏻
