this is either because a) the writing style is off the wall enough i need to read more of your incredible writing or b) you were so vehemently 1 or 5 stars that i need to see how you feel about the other things you buy and places you visit for reference on your credibility.

Did you ever stumble across a review when a person (usual someone old) uploads a photo of themselves for a review on a random product? I think the review prompt asks them to upload a photo and they don’t realize they mean a photo of the product and just add a selfie. Those are my favorite.

treating this a bit like foursquare & a review of everything

I always feel a bit false when asked to curate recommendations or think of my favorites. While it's good to take stock of what was truly enriching, it's also nice to think the things I'm actually doing & consuming day in and day out are worthwhile. And if they're not worth sharing, maybe there are changes to be made.

wait, Did i really write that?

wonderful thing about this platform is the fact that other users can get previous recs you've made suggested to them based on other recs they're exploring. every now and then, i'll get a notification for a rec i made over a year ago and sometimes it's silly things i've recommended, but other times, i have to do a double-take because some of the stuff i've written feels like i got possessed by some sage, extremely eloquent philosopher with decades' worth of experience. i truly appreciate pi.fyi for giving people the opportunity to write passionately and unearth their inner philosophers to share pieces of wisdom and advice with others.
