You will be surprised at how many of them are edible. Kahikatea trees (one of my fav trees) produce edible berries. They are some of the tallest trees in the forest, and yet maōri would climb them to hights over 200 ft were they battled with birds to collect these berries!!! It’s also good to learn invasive plants, but this can be a deep rabbit hole that depresses you - my friend is currently battling with an invasive plant known as moth weed and it haunts her every waking minute

The Bradford pear tree produce a pleasant looking white flower, but the most unpleasant fishy smell :( on top they are considered an invasive plant. BEWEAR!!! The fishy smell is nearly unavoidable. good luck fellow travelers
