Not even a favorite Clairo song, but the story behind it is so personal and sad, and this episode makes me appreciate the songwriting and production so much
I just love when people share personal anecdotes in relation to why they love a song
From emma's recent upload about her greatest songs of all time, my favorite is when she describes Light On by Pinegrove feeling like throwing a rock at your ex's window for another chance but not in a desperate way
I’m born to be somebody……..then somebody comes from me??????? I’m actually sobbing on the floor. And if you’re not sobbing, that’s something to look into.
Furthermore: I love all three of clairo’s albums, but the lyrics on sling connect with me in ways no other album has or probably ever will. Ok, thank you for letting me rant and for reading my millionth post about sling.
A master at writing genre fiction as literary fiction. Multiple narratives, stellar characters, a time-hopping, pre- and post-apocalyptic plot, and a killer miniseries adaptation to watch once you’re finished
I only saw her perform twice, but I honestly don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone else live more than once (though I obviously would like to see a lot of them live again). At least I can say one of the times I saw her was her very first US performance 🥹💔
