the house i grew up in had two additions added to it so the layout was kind of winding and weird. when my kid sister and i were looking for each other around the house we would marco polo with one of us doing the "doodle-oodle-oo" whistle and then calling back with "wah WAH wah". (i hope i typed that in a way that led you to read it tonally lol).
