He’s talented but… his music is cloying to me, and I don’t believe a word he sings. It’s very sentimental and melodramatic, and for me nothing connects.
I almost hate his version of Hallelujah— it has no business being more popular than John Cale’s or Leonard Cohen’s.
His dad Tim was probably less original, but I like him better.
