i usually make one every quarter otherwise i change my wallpaper everyday cause i’m sooooo indecisive. its like a trinket of memories— my little digital locket. also a small (and fun!) exercise of creativity.

elipips thank u!!! okay so there is a feature on the iphone where you can copy subjects of photos: https://support.apple.com/en-us/102460 i use a mixture of subject specific photos and random pics in my camera roll, then i go on instagram and pretty much start copy and pasting whatever i want to include like i’m creating a story. this way you can resize things, move them to the front or back, etc. and i kind of just play around until i land on something i like. once i’m content i download it to my camera roll. this is a messy explanation, but i hope it’s helpful!!

COTD — COLLAGE OF THE DAY
lately I’ve been into taking pics during the day and compiling them all onto one photo to capture its vibe
like my morning coffee, a meal, or a cute cat I’ve been petting on the corner of a street
graffitis help to visually strengthen things but sometimes I just incorporate some graphic elements I find online
also, I’m obsessed with archiving interesting amateur posters, especially ones about lost pets
while one can provide unique graphic and text choices, the other can invoke really emotional responses from me

Pinterest collages
Every time I enter into some kind of emotional spiral (good or bad, lol!) I make one of these. Or when I want to organize my thoughts around a creative project, or just for ~funsies~ (🤮)
I love collaging but I don’t always have the resources or energy to make a physical one and once you get the hang of it, this is a super easy way to do it!!

doing The hard thing
god sometimes, in the moment, it sucks. but 99.99% of the time i feel so much better after the fact. inspired by me having to recently take my own advice i give to my students about how to get more comfortable being uncomfortable.
