having an emotional support memo pad on your desk at all times
just to doodle and write mindless notes that won't make any sense to you once you return to them eventually! don't forget to rip out sheets that you've grown weirdly attached to every once in a while so you don't have to have a huge stack of already used pages resting atop it...
i am sadly on my last page of the muji memo pad i've had for probably years now... it will be dearly missed </3

sub-rec: get a thick a3 paper and put it under your mousepad/keyboard so u can always start writing i saw this at a doctors office and its really smart, like a mousepad you can write on

MIDORI A4 MEMO PAD
My brain is too destroyed by years of working on the internet to keep a notebook that reads like a coherent thing I would want to revisit. Instead, this giant memo pad where i can peel off the top page and toss it in the trash suits me (and probably a lot of you) much better.

carrying a messy notebook
there are few things better than pulling out a bulky scribbled notebook and writing down something you want to remember. for my notebook i collect receipts and menus and other inconsequential things to stick in there just so i can remember how my life is now

Having an excessive amount of notepads
Long live the Notes app, but nothing beats just writing something down right as it pops into your head. To serve the sense of urgency at all times, one will inevitably collect a large and eclectic array of notebooks and notepads. I am considering getting one of those slates that scuba divers use to communicate underwater and keeping it in the shower.
