I know nothing of her LA world, but I know about being a party girl and a proud hoe. Anything by Eve is my bible. A must for those who are sentimental and like being aimless and lost and just rolling with it.
it’s a biographical essay collection about her life in los angeles in the 60s and early 70s. eve is super witty and her writing has a kind of addictive quality, it feels like you’re catching up with a friend that has been through the craziest experiences. i also adore the ambience of l.a. around this period and the descriptions of the city are so atmospheric that it makes you feel nostalgic for a time you weren’t even born. all around it’s a really fun book!
the patron saint of the sexy, intellectual, thottie and untasteful-tasteful L.A. woman. I refer to her as the bimbo Joan Didion (i mean that in the least reductive way possible) The summer i discovered this book i was working a dead end retail job on Sunset Blvd. and literally got fired for reading it on the clock. she's a genius. the blueprint.
